Goodbye from Clare & Pat

Clare and Pat celebrated their 5 year county commissioner term with a meal at Hodnet Hall gardens. The weather was delightful and guests were able to look at the gardens before presentations were made. Clare received her Laurel Award and 20 year long service and Lady Jane her 40 year service. We also presented Cris Jones as the outgoing Trefoil Chairwomen and other Vice Presidents with long service awards. We welcomed our new County Commissioner Sarah Myers and her assistant Catherine Coleman.

Last County Baden Powell Weekend!

We held a fantastic final BP weekend at Hodnet Hall in July. We celebrated with 31 girls, took part in a ceildh and had an ice cream van. The girls managed to sleep out under the stars before a badge presentation and our own special badge to commemorate. It was a wonderful event and the girls made many friends. We also said a huge thank you to all our BP team and Debbie Bray the co ordinator.

On 1st July over 1270 runners including many of our girls and leaders, took part in the Oswestry Colour Run in aid of Macmillan. This was a partnership between Girlguiding Shropshire and Macmillan. Leaders and girls manned paint stations throwing paint over the runners and staffing the reception desk. It was a very hot but enjoyable day!
