Over the May Day weekend 4 Rangers from North Shrewsbury Rangers undertook a Silver DofE 3 day practice expedition in the Shropshire Hills on the hottest days of the year so far. Their hike took them over and around the Long Mynd, camping overnight at 2 different camp sites in the wooded valleys.
Superviser Jeanette said “The Rangers were amazing, they navigated well, worked as a team, looked after each other, kept to time , well we actually told them to slow down due to the heat, wet neckers were worn in a variety of ways to keep the sun off.”
