The 2nd Ellesmere Brownies were treated to a fun-filled weekend with loads of enjoyable activities in and around the Lyneal Guide Centre. The brownies arrived at Lyneal Guide Centre where they settled in and later went on a torch walk to The Lazy Cow Cafe. The girls enjoyed a lovely dinner before taking part in an array of activities such as feeding the ponies, gently handing little chicks and dissecting owl pellets. The fun continued as they walked back to the Lyneal Guide Centre using their torchlight to find their way. At the Lyneal Guide Centre, the brownies made conker wreaths, aborigine painting, made up dress-up plays and much more creative activities. Their second day at the Guide Centre was no different from their arrival day. On their second day, the girls enjoyed face painting and taking part in an aviation challenge. They also went on a walk around the canal and Colemere, looking for insects and words of a safety sentence on a pre-laid trail. On arrival back to the Lyneal Guide Centre, the girls enjoyed a picnic lunch they prepared in the morning. They were then awarded badges before heading home with their parents packed with loads of exciting stories to share.
